Not compatible for Iphone. Slow for Ipad

I purchased two of these. One for my Iphone 4. Can not use it. Shows error message on phone saying that charger is incompatible.

Tried the second cable on my Ipad (first generation). It does work. However, it charges at an extremely slow snails pace. Took almost a full day for it to charge fully.

I would not recommend this charger.
