Great product but be careful

I bought this to upgrade from the smart phone holder that attached to the air vent in the dash. I wanted something that was up a little and closer to my view out the window. This seemed like the ideal solution. It has a very strong grip on the dash and the gripper with the rubber pads really holds the phone in place.

What I did not realize is that it was going to take two hands to put the phone in the gripper. If you need to take it out you may also need two hands if there are any cables plugged in. If the gripper snaps together in the wrong way it can easily damage both the cable and more importantly the jack on the phone. Every once in a while I need to pick up the phone but once I do, I can't put it back unless I pull over.

I have to say that even my GPS can be attached and detached from its mount one handed.

If this is not an issue for you, you can't find a better phone mount.
